Current and Future Migration Reforms

AmCham has previously briefed its members about the amendments in legislation on change in some of the migration practices. Especially, the registration of foreigners coming to Azerbaijan was amended and work permit application through ASAN Service (State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan) was enabled.Earlier we also informed our members that the Government of Azerbaijan is working on the Migration Code. Over the last year (the base is 100 at 31 March 2012) the AAIP rose by 7.59 percent for Azerbaijani
consumers and 7.46 for Expatriate consumers.
In the 1st quarter of 2013 the AAIP rose by 1.10 percent for Azerbaijani consumers and 1.39 for
