AmCham holds a variety of events throughout the year, all planned to help our members get involved in the country’s business:
- luncheons
- committee meetings
- chamber mixers
- social events
Our Monthly Member Luncheons are aimed at strengthening and developing mutually beneficial business contacts among our members. The official part of the luncheon consists of a presentation by a guest speaker invited by AmCham’s Board of Directors. Past speakers have included important government officials such as the National Leader of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President Heydar Aliyev, the Minister of Communications, Mr. Ali Abbasov, the Minister of Emergency Situations, Mr. Kemaleddin Heydarov, the Minister of Youth and Sport, Mr. Azad Rahimov, the current US Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Anne Derse, Country Representative of IMF, Mr. Basil Zavoiko, the Country Representative of EBRD, Mr. Aygin Yayikoglu, the Chairman of the State Social Protection Fund, Mr. Salim Muslimov, Vice-Speaker of the Parliament Mr. Valeh Aleskerov and many others. Luncheon programs also include new member presentations and membership plaque presentations. As the highlight of our regular business events, our monthly luncheons help AmCham develop friendly business relations with the government.
Committee Meetings
AmCham committee meetings are a closed forum for members and colleagues to stay in touch, communicate in an informal environment, contribute by sharing best practice and discuss mutually important issues.
Chamber Mixers
AmCham mixers are a great opportunity for our members and friends to socialize in a relaxed social context. AmCham hosts regular “Business After Hours” events that provide an ideal opportunity for members to network in an informal setting. Annually, AmCham hosts a “Meet the Candidates” event, organized specifically for our regular members before AmCham elections in February of each year. The reception introduces candidates for election to the Board of Directors.
Social Events
AmCham and its members also contribute to the community through a variety of informal events which give members a chance enjoy themselves, while in addition benefiting others.
